This article analyses the memory of socialist Yugoslavia within contemporary media ecologies, proposing the concept of the “digital Yugosphere” to describe the set of online spaces in which symbols, cultural repertoires, and narratives linked to the SFRY continue to circulate following the dissolution of the state. Building on the theoretical framework of memory studies and the mediatization of memory, this article proposes an analytical model for studying Yugoslav memory online, capable of bringing together three main dimensions: the media infrastructures that regulate the visibility and circulation of content, the cultural repertoires through which the past is reworked, and the social subjects who inhabit these digital spaces. The Yugoslav case demonstrates how memory can persist as a transnational mnemonic infrastructure even after the dissolution of the state that originally institutionalised it.
